Machine Shop Supervisor

Our organization is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our machine shop. This role involves managing a team of skilled machinists and ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and supervise the machinists' day-to-day activities to achieve production targets.
  2. Attend pre-production discussions to determine the tools and fixtures required for each job.
  3. Assist in production planning, controlling raw materials, and conducting daily process maintenance work.
  4. Work towards improving process flow and quality yield.
  5. Provide clear leadership and direction to the production team, aligning them with business objectives.
  6. Conduct training and coaching sessions to develop multi-skilled machinists.
  7. Advise the Production Manager on subordinate assessments.
  8. Ensure timely delivery of quality products and adherence to company KPIs.
  9. Maintain high-quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
  10. Conduct troubleshooting and suggest corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • NITEC or Diploma qualifications in relevant fields.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in machine shops, with CNC milling and turning knowledge in oil and gas industries preferred.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing industries, with oil and gas industrial experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse workforces.
