Job Overview

The Technical Training Specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training programs to surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from various surgical specialties. Reporting directly to the Training Manager for their region, this individual will be responsible for facilitating da Vinci System technology training and collaborating with engineers and training researchers to continuously improve training initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs on the da Vinci Surgical System to surgical teams at designated training centers and remote locations
  • Lead and support specialized training programs and Society events, catering to the needs of surgeon educators and course participants
  • Gather data through surveys to measure program effectiveness and inform improvements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal projects, contributing to new product development, training material/protocol creation, and training research initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Training team to enhance existing training programs and develop innovative solutions
  • Train sales forces to conduct in-services and system technology skills development activities with customers on new and established products
  • Sometimes assist with da Vinci System setup in hospital operating rooms
  • Support da Vinci Surgical System troubleshooting and maintenance at training centers
  • Manage logistics, inventory, and training schedules at training facilities
  • Maintain all capital equipment, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and accessories
  • Foster positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management
Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or Education
  • Minimum 24 months of experience in a related field; experience in medical device training is highly desirable

Salary: $90,000-$120,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
