Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, designing and delivering all testing work, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression testing.
  • A key responsibility will be to assess and propose appropriate testing approach and testing scenarios within Agile/scrum teams.
  • The engineer will also design and develop detailed API test automation plans for the different cloud services developed, integrate the tests to the build pipeline and plan executions.
  • Load testing on the GUI and for different APIs identified will be driven by the engineer.
  • The engineer will regularly attend all scrum ceremonies – daily standup, sprint planning and retrospectives for the assigned application/project
  • Effective communication of System/Integration test execution plans/test results to team members/stakeholders in a timely and effective manner is essential.
  • Collaboration with developers in resolving any issues/bugs/gaps identified is also required.
  • Closing working relationships with other business analysts/delivery leads to implement new solutions and recommend improvements to the existing processes are expected.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science or related field is necessary.
  • Prior experience as an Automation tester is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Automation Testing using Selenium is required.
  • A good understanding of the business and processes and preferably working knowledge of the different applications used is necessary.
  • Exposure in API/GUI/Load Test Automation tools is also required.
  • Experience working in different tools like Postman, SOAPUI, Jmeter, LoadRunner is necessary.
  • Knowledge of build, release and deployment processes using Azure Devops/Jenkins is also expected.
  • Knowledge of tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence is required.
  • Familiarity with Git, C#, Openshift, Azure DevOps is also necessary.
  • Attention to details, problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, also collaborate with the team effectively is required.
