Job Opportunity: Editor

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious editor to join our editorial team. As an editor, your primary responsibility will be to refine manuscripts to their highest potential.

Responsibilities include reviewing and polishing manuscripts, ensuring they meet our quality standards. You will work closely with authors, clients, and partners to establish good working relationships and manage projects effectively.

  • Edit manuscripts for content and language.
  • Handle all editorial responsibilities, including developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, and copywriting across digital and print formats.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, authors, translators, editors, graphic designers, printers, and sales & marketing teams.
  • Evaluate book ideas and assist in planning new titles.
  • Update progress reports for all titles within your responsibility and report to stakeholders as necessary.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of editorial experience.
  • Degree in English Language/Mass Communications/Journalism or Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
  • Well-organized, meticulous, and have strong initiative.
  • Possess strong project management skills and deliver high-quality work under demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
