APAC Operations Risk Manager

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our operations are compliant and effective within the APAC region.

The primary objective is to identify and mitigate potential audit risks, striking a balance between regulatory adherence and customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the APAC region, possessing a deep understanding of local financial crime regulations, customer expectations, and market practices.
  • Ensure that servicing processes are compliant with APAC regulatory bodies requirements, anticipating and mitigating potential audit findings.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure decision accuracy and effective capture regional nuances and regulatory interpretations.
  • Conduct thorough gap analyses of end-to-end processes within the region and collaborate with relevant teams to define requirements for new or revamped processes.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieving high decision accuracy within teams supporting the region.
  • Demonstrating consistent improvement in the 'check the checker' score within regional Quality Assurance activities.
  • Achieving regular improvement in control coverage and assurance for regional processes.

You would be well-suited for this role if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within a regulated financial institution, with specific exposure to the APAC region.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to articulate complex regulatory requirements clearly and concisely.
