Overview

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events to join our newly formed CAAS Events Team.

About the Role

We are looking for an Event Operations Director to lead the planning, organisation, and execution of events, including conferences, seminars, trade shows, and corporate meetings. This role involves developing event concepts, themes, and agendas in collaboration with stakeholders, managing event budgets, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, organise, and execute events of varying complexity and scope, involving international government and industry leaders.* Develop event concepts, themes, and agendas in collaboration with stakeholders.* Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure cost-effective solutions.* Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation.* Oversee event marketing and promotion, including social media, email campaigns, and print materials.* Lead and manage event staff, including volunteers, contractors, and vendors.* Evaluate event success and provide post-event reports and analysis.* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience in event planning and management, a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events, strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You should also have attention to detail, be able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in event management software and tools.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
