Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Enterprise Java Architect to drive the development of our Capital Markets IT department. This pivotal role involves leading technical studies, collaborating with infrastructure and business analysts, and designing, documenting, and developing robust technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring CI/CD integration is seamlessly integrated into the development process, conducting code reviews, promoting best practices within the team, reporting progress and risks to project managers, and researching, designing, and developing software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical studies and collaborate with infrastructure and business analysts to design and develop innovative technical solutions.
  • Design, document, and develop scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) is integrated into the development process.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote best practices within the team.
  • Report progress and risks to project managers and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of Java/J2EE development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion and processing (e.g., Spark, Spark Streaming), Hadoop ecosystem (preferably Hortonworks), build tools (e.g., Maven, SBT, Ant), RESTful services, Jenkins/TeamCity, SVN/GIT, JUnit, Jira/QC.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with solution design patterns and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with tools like Phoenix, Elasticsearch, Sqoop, StreamSets.
