Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role involves performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on packaging and conveying equipment, including vehicles, chassis, forklifts, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving faults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system faults in a timely manner.
  • Use various tools and equipment for diagnosis and repair, working with suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and parts inventory, communicating findings and repair options to the team.
  • Attend to breakdowns, reducing equipment downtime and enhancing performance through quality maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a diploma or higher in mechatronic or electrical engineering, with at least 3 years' relevant experience in the heavy industry sector. Additionally, they should have knowledge of PLC, control circuits, and electrical systems, as well as experience with bagging line operations.
