Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Training Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality training programs to our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with experience in facilitating classes and developing client relationships. You will also have advanced knowledge of gas carriers, LNG as a marine fuel, and associated regulations, rules, and codes. Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate personnel at various levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate classes at the Maritime Safety Center, either as instructor or through coordination with external facilitators
  • Develop client relationships through consistent delivery of training programs
  • Promote the Maritime Safety Center at local or regional maritime events
  • Act as local market intelligence for maritime training needs in the region
  • Responsible for financial aspects of the appointed ABS Academy including invoicing and inter-departmental billing

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in Engineering or other technical disciplines
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience employed by a ship owner/operator, marine classification society
  • Advanced knowledge in gas carriers, LNG as a marine fuel, and associated regulations, rules, and codes
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate personnel at various levels
