As a Care Partner, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing personalized care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Providing emotional support and social interaction through engaging activities and conversations.
- Assisting with meal preparation and serving, as well as cleaning up after mealtimes.
- Monitoring residents' health status and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Participating in simple nursing tasks, such as feeding, toileting, and showering, under the guidance of the nursing team.
- Assisting doctors and nurses during treatments and examinations, while maintaining residents' privacy and dignity.
- Conducting activities that promote social interaction and relationship building among residents.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A WSQ Certificate in Healthcare (Nursing Care) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or community hospital.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
