Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering high-quality, timely releases through agile methodologies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities to ensure team alignment with company goals.

As a seasoned leader with 5+ years experience as a senior engineering manager, head of engineering, or director level role leading 2 or more teams, you will drive team execution and delivery, ensuring maintainability, security, and performance. Your expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Koa/Express, and PostgreSQL will enable you to develop and enforce best engineering practices.

You will foster a strong engineering culture by promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements will be essential in collaborating with product managers and stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of architectural skills, including modular design, microservices, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Experience in designing and implementing RESTful and WebSocket APIs, knowledge of security principles, and proficiency with Linux command line tools are also highly valued.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience as a senior engineering manager, head of engineering, or director level role leading 2 or more teams
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with TypeScript experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of React, Koa/Express, and PostgreSQL
  • Strong architectural skills, including modular design, microservices, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Experience in designing and implementing RESTful and WebSocket APIs
  • Proficient understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS
