Electrical Design Engineer

This role involves the design and development of electronic systems, circuits, and devices.

A key part of this job is to create electrical and electronic circuits for robotics systems, actuators, sensors, and systems integration.

  • Design electrical and electronic circuits for robotics systems, actuators, sensors, and systems integration.
  • Develop schematics and PCB layouts for power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral, and sensor interfaces.
  • Prototype and debug electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Create specifications and design schemes.
  • Select components and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal/external partners to support manufacture of sub-systems.
  • Work on cross-functional systems design and test with mechanical, software, and robotics engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Define test plans and evaluate reliability.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in electrical/electronic design engineering.
  • Experience in power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral, and sensor interfaces.
  • Experience and knowledge in robotics fields preferred.
  • Experience with PCB design and software such as KiCAD or Altium.
  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming language.
  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and design constraints common to robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
  • Good technical communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with some guidance.
