Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer - Digital Engineering to lead our digital engineering office in Pune.


As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the execution of high complexity programs, making critical decisions on research, development, and sustaining engineering. You will also provide governance to drive synergies across different business units.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing training materials for green belt and black belt programs, conducting DfSS trainings globally, upgrading existing methodologies/tools, and providing expert guidance on various technical areas such as quality function deployment, product design scorecard, design optimization, reliability, statistics, etc.

You will collaborate with product engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and program management leaders to achieve strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of high complexity programs
  • Make critical decisions on research, development, and sustaining engineering
  • Provide governance to drive synergies across different business units
  • Develop training materials for green belt and black belt programs
  • Conduct DfSS trainings globally
  • Upgrade existing methodologies/tools

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters or PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 15+ years of experience, preferably in digital engineering and engineering functional excellence
  • Expertise in digital engineering, design for six sigma, design for reliability
  • Ability to coach and guide technical experts
  • In-depth understanding of technology trends
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and methods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Conflict management, ambiguity, and change management skills
