Mental Health Advocate

As a mental health advocate, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support in the community. Your role will involve raising awareness of mental health and dementia through engaging outreach activities and events.

  • Raise awareness of mental health and dementia through engaging outreach activities and events.
  • Identify and assess individuals at risk, providing timely intervention and support.
  • Coordinate care by linking clients to appropriate health and social services.
  • Offer emotional support to clients and caregivers, maintaining clear and accurate case documentation.
  • Plan and run programs such as cognitive stimulation, wellness activities, and caregiver support groups.
  • Build networks with community partners and stakeholders to strengthen mental wellness outreach.
  • Manage data and records in line with relevant guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A degree or graduate diploma in social work is required.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in social work or mental health support is preferred.
  • Fluent English and a second language are essential; dialect-speaking is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • A team player with an outgoing, dynamic personality and a deep passion for mental health advocacy is ideal.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Social work degree, experience in mental health support, excellent communication skills, teamwork, and empathy.
