We are seeking an experienced Life Claims Executive to join our team. As a key member of our Life and Health Operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive affordable and comprehensive life and health products with efficient processes.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage life claim assessment, including the managed healthcare system. This involves performing administrative duties such as claim registration, preparation of correspondences, and payment processing.
You will also assess policy liability, compute claim amounts payable based on policy cover and management guidelines for individual personal life insurance and managed healthcare system claims.
In addition, you will recommend payments or rejections of claims and approve those within your authority limit, ensuring timely and fair settlement of claims.
Key responsibilities include:
Administrative tasks such as claim registration, correspondence preparation, and payment processing;
Policy liability assessment, computation of claim amounts payable based on policy cover and management guidelines;
Recommendation and approval of claims within authority limits;
Ensuring timely and fair settlement of claims;
Reviewing pending claims within target periods;
Maintaining good rapport with representatives, officers, and staff from other departments;
Communicating effectively with claimants, related parties, reinsurers, and external stakeholders;
Handling claim enquiries, service recovery, complaints, appeals, and customer care matters;
Participating in operation efficiency projects and implementing best practices;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Diploma holder with 1-2 years of experience in basic life claims;
Good policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation;
Good critical thinking skills and ability to handle computations;
Good written and communication skills, committed team player;
Meticulous with good analytical, organisational skills;
Able to multi-task and work independently;
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines;
Customer centric.
