Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team as an Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, including financial reporting and compliance.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for handling full sets of accounts for multiple clients, preparing financial statements, and managing accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and journals. You will also prepare GST submissions, XBRL filings, and other statutory filings with IRAS and ACRA. Additionally, you will liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial teams on client matters, ensure timely month-end and year-end closings, maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records, and use accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field, and hold qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore, or equivalent. They will also have more than 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or outsourced services, prior experience in an outsourcing or professional services environment being an advantage. Technical skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), and familiarity with Singapore GST and other compliance requirements. Soft skills include strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, good communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in Chinese to deal with Chinese clients, service-oriented with a professional attitude, willingness to learn and work as part of a team, and ability to handle multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.

This role offers growth opportunities to move into Senior Accountant, Assistant Manager, and Client Manager positions, with exposure to diverse clients and industries.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • ACCA, CA Singapore, or equivalent qualification (part-qualified may be considered)
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or outsourced services (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles)
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Familiar with Singapore GST and other compliance requirements
Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Chinese is a must to deal with Chinese clients
