Individualised Communication Therapist

We seek a skilled and compassionate therapist to work one-on-one with children, enhancing their communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess each child's unique communication needs, devising tailored therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions focusing on speech clarity, language skills, social interaction, and swallowing difficulties as needed.
  • Utilise evidence-based practices and techniques to foster effective communication in a supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals to ensure consistent support and integration of therapeutic strategies into daily life.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of each child's progress, adapting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in communication therapy and special education.
Requirements:
  • A recognised degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid registration with the relevant health council.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in one-to-one settings.
  • Strong knowledge of communication development and disorders, as well as intervention strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring approach to working with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently, customising therapy plans based on each child's needs and progress.
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential through enhanced communication skills.
