Job Title:
Splunk Engineer Position

Job Description:
As a Splunk Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Splunk services. This involves performing regular checks and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and monitor Splunk infrastructure, including Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, Deployment Server, Cluster Master, and other components.
2. Ensure uptime and system health by analyzing logs, tuning performance, and implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
3. Manage indexing performance, storage usage, and data lifecycle to ensure efficient operation of our Splunk environment.
4. Integrate Splunk with external systems for real-time monitoring and alerts on infrastructure issues.
5. Develop and validate custom parsers as requested to enhance our Splunk configuration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in Splunk administration, including setup, configuration, and optimization.
2. Experience with Splunk infrastructure components, such as Search Heads, Indexers, and Forwarders.
3. Strong understanding of log analysis, performance tuning, and system health monitoring.
4. Ability to develop and implement custom solutions using Splunk's API and scripting capabilities.
