Research Opportunity in Skin Biology

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior/Research Fellow in the field of skin biology. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-stakes project that aims to develop a new class of drug for the treatment of intractable skin disorders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting complex medium-throughput assays using 3D skin models, designing and implementing methods for validating screening hits, and working closely with other team members to guarantee consistent, reliable supply of skin models.

About the Project

The project focuses on inflammation and immunology, with a strong translational pipeline integrating world-leading upstream research with expertise in drug delivery and clinical dermatology. We are looking for someone who can bring their passion and skills to this challenging and rewarding project.

Your Role

You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive, critical reviews of relevant literature and available assays, recommending improvements to the strategy for assay development, and working with other team members to ensure smooth flow of data and materials between work packages.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of PhD and 5 years post-doctoral experience in skin biology or closely related field
  • Experience with high-throughput (phenotypic) screening and automated imaging solutions
  • Conversant with 2D and 3D skin models including skin explants
  • Expertise in advanced imaging methods and molecular biology techniques
