Job Description

The Staff Nurse/Senior Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospice setting.

They are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, allocating necessary equipment, communicating effectively with patients and their families, and coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

  • Provide safe and competent nursing care services that are individualized to meet each patient's needs
  • Allocate equipment as required to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Establish strong rapport with patients and their families through effective communication
  • Coordinate patient care by advising physicians and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
  • Facilitate Multidisciplinary Team meetings to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to organization and legal requirements regarding storage and control of drugs and medical supplies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patients' condition and collate relevant data

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate will be an effective team player who can adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
  • Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board
  • Post-registration experience in a hospital or hospice setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and technologies
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion to serve
