Senior Cleanroom Design Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced senior cleanroom design manager to lead our technical coordination and design management efforts on construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of cleanroom standards, HVAC systems, commissioning best practices, and contamination control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement conceptual and detailed designs for cleanroom environments, including HVAC, filtration, pressurization, airflow patterns, and contamination control strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical & electrical, architectural, and process engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and approve design specifications, equipment selections, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage risk and ensure constructability in design decisions for cleanroom systems, minimizing potential delays and cost overruns.
  • Oversee commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules to ensure timely system startup and qualification, ensuring that all systems meet performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and work closely with construction and QA/QC teams to resolve them efficiently.
  • Document commissioning results, prepare as-built records, and lead final turnover packages to ensure smooth handover to clients.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align design and commissioning strategies with project goals, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years' relevant working experience in high-tech or regulated environments such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical facilities within a construction or engineering consultancy environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleanroom standards, HVAC systems, commissioning best practices, and contamination control, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and develop effective solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM software, with experience in creating detailed designs and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry-leading software and tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in creating presentations, reports, and proposals.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
