Strategic Risk Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management expert to lead and supervise our credit and market risk monitoring teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in implementing timely mitigation actions to minimize exposure
  • Review and enhance risk management policies, frameworks, and system workflows in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
  • Review and approve credit applications for retail, high-net-worth and institutional clients, ensuring consistency with internal risk appetite and credit policies
  • Evaluate core business processes to identify potential risk exposures and recommend robust control measures
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and due diligence on new product launches and business initiatives, working closely with development teams to automate risk controls through system integration
  • Provide risk advisory support to business units, embedding risk considerations into strategic and operational decision-making processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Over 10 years of experience in securities and derivatives risk management, preferably within a brokerage firm
  • Strong proficiency in margin financing and derivatives products, including futures contracts, stocks & index options, and options on futures
  • Comprehensive understanding of MAS and SGX regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with international markets such as the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and China Connect is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
