Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team in the construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction materials and services to support our ongoing and upcoming renovation projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for construction materials and services.
  • Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and track order statuses.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site supervisors for material requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, and warehouse teams to support project timelines.
  • Resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues with suppliers.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Good knowledge of building materials, suppliers, and construction project cycles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
  • Diploma in Procurement, Business, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with purchasing materials through online platforms.

Preferred:
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
