The Role of a Category Manager

  • Develop and execute regional portfolio strategies that align with the global strategy, ensuring customer proximity and profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to define growth targets and battle plans for key customers, driving COGS productivity and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Voice of the market, defining product specifications and positioning products in the right customer segment for financial success, while respecting global guidelines and brand strategy.
  • Transform market and customer requirements into profitable portfolio opportunities, ensuring business cases are supported.
  • Align and execute regional portfolio strategy, as part of the regional category book, in line with global strategy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in automotive product management.
  • Strategic/analytic skills, customer-oriented approach, negotiating, influencing, and relationship management skills.
