Software Development Manager Job Overview

The Software Development Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development of software systems, driving efficiency and innovation within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring seamless project execution and on-time delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects within budget, leveraging expertise and experience to achieve success.
  • Mentor software developers to enhance skill growth and team performance, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop and manage work plans to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure project completion.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction, providing timely updates and insights into project status.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong background in computer science or software engineering, with experience in systems software development and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English (writing and speaking) and Mandarin (speaking and reading).
  • A proven track record of successful IT project leadership, certification in project management, and a good understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT project leadership and 1 complete SDLC cycle in large-scale systems development.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CITPM).
  • Excellent understanding of contracts management, security aspects in software systems, and ability to coordinate teams across multiple locations/time zones.
