Cloud engineering is an increasingly complex field requiring professionals with a deep understanding of cloud-native environments, security, compliance, and automation.
Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016, with a proven track record of configuring, hardening, and managing these systems at scale.
A key focus area for this role involves the management of AMI pipelines, including building, maintaining, and versioning compliant Windows AMIs in a secure and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for integrating enterprise observability agents, endpoint protection tools, and compliance agents as part of image builds, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks for Windows operating systems and the ability to harden and validate AMIs against these benchmarks are essential skills for this position.
Additionally, experience with packaging and maintaining MS SQL Server configurations as part of standard image builds, while ensuring licensing, security, and performance configurations align with best practices, is highly desirable.
The chosen candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to document standard build processes, hardening steps, and compliance checkpoints, supporting audit and operational readiness.
A strong background in automation tools such as git, Ansible, CloudFormation, AWS SSM, Packer, and Terraform will be invaluable in driving AMI lifecycle management and ensuring seamless automation across the board.
