Digital Content Manager

CNA is seeking a seasoned editor to oversee the daily operations of its digital news desk. This role combines traditional newsroom skills with strategic thinking, ensuring accurate and timely journalism while reaching diverse audiences across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify critical news stories in Singapore and abroad, covering them effectively through original reporting, agency copy, visuals, or a combination thereof.
- Manage live blogging coverage for breaking news and major events, coordinating updates, visuals, and interactive elements to deliver compelling real-time storytelling.
- Assign articles to journalists on the news desk, providing clear editorial direction and collaborating with visual, multimedia, and social teams for integrated storytelling.
- Develop additional landing points for key stories, including explainers, listicles, sidebars, and videos.
- Edit articles to meet the highest editorial and language standards, aligning them with CNA's house style.
- Collaborate with other editors on the news desk to ensure accurate, contextual, timely, and audience-focused coverage.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of editorial experience, preferably spanning multiple news environments (digital, TV, or print).
- In-depth knowledge of how content needs to be adapted for various types of news platforms and social media.
- Driven self-starter capable of assisting the team in achieving key objectives.
- Extensive understanding of the Singapore and regional news landscape.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under deadline pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
