About the Role

This esteemed position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a prestigious consultancy that excels in delivering impactful projects across various regions, including Singapore, China, Bhutan, and Cambodia.

You will report directly to the Managing Director and serve as the Qualified Person (QP), overseeing a team of engineers to ensure safe structural design and excellent service delivery to clients.

  • As QP, you will be responsible for PE endorsement for assigned projects.
  • You will lead project coordination/management, supervise construction works, and manage technical/site staff and administrative functions.
  • You will provide guidance and oversight to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of services.
  • You will conduct critical design calculations and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • You will have hands-on experience in designing civil, structural, and geotechnical works and preparing design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and attend meetings.
  • Supervise and inspect construction works.
  • Manage and supervise technical/site staff and administrative functions of the projects.
  • Provide guidance and manage engineers in the team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of service.
  • Check critical design calculations and specifications of the project prior to approving all C&S related documents and drawings produced in the projects prior to submission to regulatory authorities.
  • Able to be hands-on to carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works.
  • Able to be hands-on in preparing design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions;
  • Able to coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Local design experience in C&S engineering work & conversant with Singapore Building Codes and Practices.
  • Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tedds, StaadPro, Prota, Etab) and submission procedures to regulatory authorities.
  • Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports.
  • Registered with Singapore PE Board as Professional Engineer.
  • Willing to sign as signing QP.
