Job Title: Senior Manager, Risk Underwriting

The role of the Senior Manager, Risk Underwriting is to oversee underwriting operations for property and liability insurance across Asia. This involves ensuring profitability, compliance, and alignment with company objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies, policies, and guidelines for property and liability insurance to achieve profitability and growth objectives.
  • Monitor and manage the underwriting portfolio to ensure a balanced risk profile, minimizing claim costs while maintaining competitive pricing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and clients across Asian markets, tailoring solutions to local needs.
  • Collaborate with reinsurance partners to manage high-risk policies and align with regional strategies.
  • Ensure all underwriting practices adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices, maintaining compliance with state and federal insurance laws.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in property and/or liability underwriting; track record of profitable book management, portfolio optimization, and large-scale risk assessment.

  • Strategic Planning and Development: Developing and implementing underwriting strategies, policies, and guidelines for property and liability insurance.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Monitoring and managing the underwriting portfolio to ensure a balanced risk profile, minimizing claim costs while maintaining competitive pricing.
