Programme Governance Specialist

This role involves overseeing grants management, including establishing robust controls and standards across programme implementation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen operational frameworks to ensure compliance and risk management best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in grant governance measures.
  • Develop and implement audit processes and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Compliance and Governance: Develop and implement controls and safeguards to ensure alignment with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Management: Support the Programme Team on programme audits, preparing documentation and implementing/follow-up of audit recommendations.
  • Process Enhancement: Drive process improvements to enhance grant governance across various stages of the programme life cycle.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular reviews of existing processes and systems to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and resolution of governance matters.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in process review and enhancement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and change management.
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Abilities/Aptitudes:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
  • Proactive team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
