Geotechnical Instrumentation Manager

Job Description:
Our organization is seeking a talented professional to fill the role of Monitoring Systems Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, calibration, and maintenance of geotechnical instrumentation systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with geotechnical instrumentation, borehole drilling techniques, and knowledge of instrumentation databases. A relevant degree in engineering and minimum 6 years' experience managing instrumentation and monitoring works on civil engineering projects are also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in engineering.
- Minimum 6 years' experience managing instrumentation and monitoring works on civil engineering projects with I&M companies, with at least 5 years of experience on LTA underground construction projects in Singapore.
- A Class 3 driving license.
- A Registered Earthworks supervisor certificate.
- A Construction Safety course for Project Managers.
- Experience with instrumentation databases.

Responsibilities:
- Leading a team: You will lead a team of engineers and technical officers to manage instrumentation projects.
- Oversight: You will oversee all instrumentation works, including calibration, data acquisition, verification, processing, web database creation, presentation, and reporting.
- Report preparation: You will prepare reports as specified in contract documents.
- Instrumentation management: You will maintain instrument databases and ensure works align with approved project quality plans.
- Health, safety, and environmental documentation: You will provide input into health, safety, environmental, and quality documentation.
- Precise planning: You will prepare instruments, materials, and tools for site work.
- Liaising: You will liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and asset owners.
