Human Resources Operations Intern

Marriott International, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented university student to join our Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC) Human Resources Operations team in Singapore. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable project experience, develop your leadership and team skills, and position yourself for a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the roll-out of Talent Management initiatives, including performance management, human capital planning, and succession planning, within APEC.
- Collaborate with area champions to drive Talent Management initiatives in APEC.
- Work closely with General Managers and HR leaders to ensure Marriott's Talent Management programs, practices, systems, and policies are in place and executed on property.
- Provide oversight and guidance on Marriott's online HR system and database to maintain accuracy and adherence to our human capital process.
- Support the roll-out of talent and culture initiatives for Marriott International Luxury (MILUX) properties, including talent acquisition, talent management, and learning and development.
- Assist with internal HR communications, including webinar sessions, developing manuals, creating presentations, and generating reports.
- Analyze data and metrics to propose recommendations and drive project targets.
- Gain a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and HR function, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning and Development.
- Develop professionalism in verbal and written communication with all stakeholders.
- Adapt communication style to collaborate with stakeholders from different APEC countries and cultures.
- Build strong relationships with coworkers, customers, and management stakeholders.
- Develop competency in Marriott recruitment and human capital systems and processes.
- Build competency in driving talent and culture initiatives for MILUX properties.
- Organize and prioritize work efficiently.
- Develop problem-solving and project management skills to drive business outcomes.
- University student with a strong academic record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Some experience with PowerBI and PowerQuery preferred.
- Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder, or valid student pass/work holiday pass.
- Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore-registered university program or undergraduate/graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or United States.
- Prepared to commit to a six-month internship.
