Plant Design Lead Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Design Engineer to oversee the engineering design of plants, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading plant engineering design activities for power plant projects. This includes cable sizing calculation, cable routing, connection drawing, loop drawings, and termination diagrams.

  • Oversight of plant engineering design activities for power plant projects.
  • Collaboration with 3D design teams to deliver 2D designs.
  • Leadership and management of a small team of engineers and technical staff.
  • Coordination of plant engineering tasks and support during site inspections.
  • Technical guidance to project managers for milestone deliveries.
  • Assistance with technical evaluation and price optimization for purchasing teams.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Knowledge of onshore power plant design engineering, preferably with experience in Singapore.
  • Experience in coordinating, leading, and managing plant engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with complex cable tray routes, cable tray support engineering designs, equipment layouts, installation materials, cable glands selection, cable drum schedules, cable route schedules, and cable termination materials.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Electrical composite plant projects.
