Job Title

A COBOL400 Application Developer is sought after to develop, enhance, and support COBOL/CLP applications on AS400.

">Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain COBOL/CLP applications on the AS400 platform, ensuring high-quality code that meets business requirements.
  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and other IT teams to deliver business solutions, providing exceptional stakeholder communication and coordination.
  • Support production environments by troubleshooting incidents, debugging code, applying fixes, and documenting changes.
  • Participate in the entire SDLC cycle, from requirement gathering to deployment, contributing to the development of new features and enhancements.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing COBOL applications on the AS400 platform, with a strong understanding of SEU, SDA, PDM, CLP/CLLE, DB2/400, MQ, JCL, and job schedulers.
  • Proven expertise in Trade Finance and Loans modules in banking, with familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage concurrent deliverables and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications for Team Lead
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in managing projects and leading development teams through the SDLC process.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
