World Wide Fund for Nature is a global leader in conservation efforts, working to protect the environment and promote sustainability. As a Philanthropy Manager, you will play a critical role in securing significant philanthropic funding to support conservation, sustainability, and education programs.
The mission of the Philanthropy team is to contribute substantial, sustainable levels of philanthropic funding to advance our mission. We work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to implement our philanthropy strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Raise substantial funds from individuals, family offices, foundations, and other stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with various stakeholders, including donors, foundations, and government agencies.
- Develop and maintain an annual major donor strategy and workplan.
- Manage the donor cycle, tracking and monitoring prospects and donors through all phases: identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal.
- Prepare and present highly customized, compelling funding proposals to major gift prospects.
- Research and write grants, providing timely reporting and ensuring compliance as required with grant awards.
Additional responsibilities include designing budget models, managing environmental and conservation news, and proactively seeking opportunities to engage with our audience.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years of experience in advisory, business development, philanthropy, or environmental communications, project management, and/or fundraising. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline with strong academic performance is required, and postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as the ability to tailor language and tone for proposals, impact reports, newsletters, and other professional correspondences. Demonstrated ability to achieve high-value targets and deliver measurable outcomes is also required.
