Job Overview

The role of UAV Technical Specialist involves the setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience with UAV systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for UAV systems.
  • Integrate drone hardware systems to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Perform equipment/engineering systems setup to meet operational requirements.
  • Conduct testing and calibration of components and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of drones to ensure they are airworthy.
  • Apply electrical skills to prepare components for use.
  • Provide trial support to ensure successful deployment of UAV systems.
  • Configure and test drone hardware prior to deployment to ensure it meets operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues to ensure drone systems meet operational standards.

Requirements:
  • A diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering is required.
  • 0-2 years hands-on experience with drones/UAV systems is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Willingsness to travel and work in field environments is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of drone platforms such as DJI, Parrot, senseFly, or custom builds is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with flight planning software would be beneficial.
