Job Title: Data Insights Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Analyst to join our team at PSA Singapore. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a critical role in extracting valuable insights from large datasets, driving informed decision-making, and contributing to the success of our port operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of operational and performance data associated with port activities.

• Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Work with large datasets to derive insights that contribute to the improvement of port operations.

2. Reporting and Dashboards:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive and intuitive dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate insights and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and tailor outputs accordingly.

3. Domain Knowledge Building:

• Actively engage in learning and understanding port logistics and operations.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance domain-specific insights.

• Apply acquired domain knowledge to provide context and depth to analytical findings.

4. Collaboration:

• Work closely with port operations, finance, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

• Collaborate with data management teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement based on data-driven insights.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics and incorporate them into the port's analytical processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in data analysis and interpretation, preferably in a port or logistics environment.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.

• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Effective communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
