Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled legal professional to join our team as a Senior Associate Counsel. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to our business teams, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in the Asia Pacific region.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with extensive experience in commercial, technology, IP, and financial services laws. The candidate should have excellent analytical skills, strong negotiation abilities, and be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The selected candidate will work closely with country and business teams to review and advise on the legal impact of new or updated laws on new business initiatives, as well as existing products and services. They will also be responsible for monitoring the legal and regulatory landscape across the AP region, analyzing any potential impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to business teams
  • Review and advise on the legal impact of new or updated laws on new business initiatives
  • Monitor the legal and regulatory landscape across the AP region
  • Draft standard product terms and templates for use in support of our business initiatives
  • Draft, negotiate, and complete complex commercial, technology, or strategic partnership agreements
  • Review externally facing documentation for compliance with applicable laws and policies

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in commercial, technology, IP, and financial services laws
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong negotiation abilities and communication skills
  • A deep understanding of the payments industry and its regulatory framework
