Job Title: Medication Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients by ensuring safe and effective medication use. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Identify, Resolve and Prevent Drug-Related Problems: The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to identify, resolve and prevent drug-related problems. This includes recommending and monitoring patient-specific therapies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Participate in Inpatient Rounds and Ambulatory Care Clinics: As a Medication Specialist, you will participate in inpatient rounds and ambulatory care clinics to ensure safe and effective medication use. This involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Dispense Medications and Provide Counselling: You will dispense medications and provide counselling to patients on their treatment plans. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to effectively communicate accurate drug information to patients, public and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to Clinical or Translational Research: We encourage our Medication Specialists to contribute to clinical or translational research to advance knowledge in the specialty area. This will involve working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement new treatments and therapies.
 Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Possess Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college is required. You should also be registered with the relevant pharmacy council.
  • Ability to Work Independently: As a Medication Specialist, you will work independently and as part of a team. You should possess excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.
