Job Description

The Financial Operations Specialist is responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable activities, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.

This role involves supporting supplier payments, staff reimbursements, and facilitating petty cash disbursements. Additionally, the Financial Operations Specialist will assist in preparing cash flow forecasts, identifying cash requirements, and posting all accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities also include raising invoices as instructed by senior management, maintaining the master invoicing file, and updating daily receipts. The role requires liaison with banks regarding unidentified receipts and revenue recognition, generating month-end reports of outstanding receivables, and following up on outstanding payments.

Other responsibilities include performing monthly bank reconciliations, tagging incoming funds to respective events and congresses, and providing ad hoc support as required. The Financial Operations Specialist will be expected to have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software.
