Job Title: Ground Investigation Specialist

The role of the Ground Investigation Specialist involves supporting soil examination projects by analyzing geological data, preparing reports and collaborating with field teams and clients to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Analyze soil samples, borehole logs and other geological data collected from the field.
  • Interpret geological and geotechnical information to assess ground conditions and identify potential hazards.
  • Prepare geological models and cross-sections to visualize subsurface conditions.
  • Report Preparation:
  • Prepare detailed geological and geotechnical reports, including site investigation reports, interpretive reports and risk assessments.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, concise and comply with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Presentation of findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination and Support:
  • Collaborate with field teams to plan and coordinate soil examination activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field staff on geological matters.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of geological data and interpretations.
  • Implement quality control procedures for soil examination activities.
  • Review and verify field data and reports for compliance with standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in civil engineering or geology, certification in Ground Investigation is an advantage with 2 years' relevant experience in major infrastructure projects.
  • Working experience in construction industry.
  • Physically fit and able to withstand challenging working conditions.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
