Job Title: Linux Systems Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Linux systems engineer to oversee the management and maintenance of our RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Design, implement, and support OpenShift platforms for application deployments.
  • Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers for stable and secure systems.
  • Utilize Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, patching, and configuration of RHEL systems.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Document system configurations and processes for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, focusing on RHEL.
  • Strong experience with OpenShift, JBoss, and Red Hat Satellite technologies.
  • Advanced RHEL troubleshooting and administration skills.
  • Proficiency in containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Knowledge of networking, configuration management (Ansible/Puppet), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK).
  • Preferred: RHCSA/RHCE certifications, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, databases, HA/DR solutions.
