Job Title: Healthcare Information Specialist

Clinical Documentation Analyst Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team.

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly analytical individual with excellent communication skills to review and analyze medical records, assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, and abstract coded data into a coding system.

  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • A degree in Medicine, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a hospital environment, preferably with knowledge of statistics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as a team player with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing complete medical records of discharged patients to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Abstracting coded data and patient information into the coding system, following official guidelines set forth by the Coordination and Maintenance Committee.
  • Sequencing assigned codes using a Finder System to determine the appropriate DRG, prioritizing daily work to ensure timely submission.
  • Participating in training programs to stay updated on Coding Clinic Guidelines and best practices.
