Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Engineer to join our team. As a Program Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of our programs from inception to completion.

Your primary duties will include:

  1. Performing BOM consolidation and optimizing component types to reduce lead time and cost.

  2. Maintaining a up-to-date component database and advising on new variants and deviations due to component changes.

  3. Ensuring that Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) are submitted for required component-related changes.

  4. Checking for part availability and conducting lead time assessments.

  5. Coordinating ECOs and following up on closures.

  6. Understanding Manufacturing Process Sequence (MPS), material flow, and manufacturing process flow.

  7. Managing localization and new product transfer programs.

  8. Managing supplier bases to achieve competitive cost, quality, and delivery performance.

  9. Generating purchasing orders, expediting, re-scheduling, and inventory management.

  10. Overseeing the implementation and execution of projects from bidding to final handover.

  11. Handling technical and commercial reviews with various departments and local/international customers.

  12. Planning, monitoring schedule development, tracking, and coordination on project documentation, purchasing, planning, quality, shipping, invoicing, and cost.

  13. Sourcing and supporting RFQs of electronics and mechanical parts for new and existing projects.

  14. Alternating sourcing and supporting cost reduction programs.

  15. Preparing and updating reports as necessary.

  16. Uploading data in SAP systems – RAW, FGS, MPN/AMPL, RIP/source list, BOM, routing.

Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering with preferred 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in Machining/Stamping/Sheet metal/PCBA related industry environment and component sourcing knowledge.
  • Understanding of Machining/Stamping/Sheet metal/PCBA manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on, independent, resourceful, and takes initiative.
  • Effective communication skills between cross-functional teams, across all working levels.
  • Demonstrates discipline in timely execution of tasks.
  • Demonstrates flexibility/adaptability to changes.
  • Customer-focused and task-oriented.
  • Team player who is analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in SAP software.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
