Job Title: Chief Engineer for Container Vessel

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team on a container vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of the vessel's engineering systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering department
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of the vessel's mechanical systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth vessel operations

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar vessel
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure

Additional Requirements:

  • Marlins Online certification (or equivalent)
  • CES online certification (or equivalent)
  • PsiCHometric test online
  • Online ECDIS Transas 4000 course (for deck officers only)

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive selection process, which includes verbal interview via Skype, interview with Supervisor from Mumbai via Skype, interview with Technical Supervisor from Singapore via Skype, and In-house Trainings via Skype. In-house training schedule for TOP/Junior Officers includes SMS-Advanced, Marine Accident Investigation course, Planned Maintenance System, US Pollution, and Risk assessment and management courses.
