GROZ-BECKERT EAST ASIA LLP seeks a highly skilled Sourcing Specialist, APAC to lead and optimize procurement operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

This role will be instrumental in driving cost efficiency, fostering supplier relationships, and ensuring the strategic alignment of procurement processes with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years of related industry experience or ideally in procurement within a globally operating Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, supplier selection, purchase order creation, and contract negotiation.
  • Act as the primary interface between suppliers and commodity managers of production plants.
  • Analyze procurement potentials to drive cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to expand the existing supplier network.
  • Manage the RFQ process to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Create detailed price comparisons and benchmarks.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate delivery terms and conditions to achieve optimal agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement-related local regulations and standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits to verify adherence to specified regulations and quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks to maintain high standards in goods and services.
  • Address and resolve supplier-related complaints effectively and promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven hands-on experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of sourcing and purchasing processes.

Experience in negotiation and targeted communication skills.

Candidates with prior experience in ERP software, particularly SAP, are preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Applications with a strong IT proficiency.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Detail-oriented.

Takes initiative in problem-solving and driving process improvements.

Proficiency in Business English and Mandarin is preferred to effectively communicate with clients and vendors in Chinese-speaking regions and travel to these areas.

Able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial thinking and strong decision-making.

Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
