Electrical Drafter Job Description

This is a challenging role for an Electrical Drafter to work on electrical design projects. As an Electrical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and documents using BIM Modeling and AutoCAD software.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry and proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM Modelling. They should also be able to read and understand engineering documents and be knowledgeable about the latest version of AutoCAD software platforms.

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Create detailed drawings and documents for electrical design projects using BIM Modeling and AutoCAD software.
    • Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers at all levels.
    • Remain constantly updated with the drafting technology to maintain technical competency.
    • Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects working from sketches or notes.
    • Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction.
    • Determine quality, cost, strength and quantity of required materials and enter figures on materials lists.
    • Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in construction industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM Modelling.
  • Able to read and understand engineering documents.
  • Knowledgeable in the most recent version of AutoCAD software platforms.
