Job Description:

As a Junior Medical Lab Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient services. Your duties will include assisting doctors and healthcare providers, performing diagnostic tests, handling preliminary test reporting, recording test results, and submitting reports to doctors for review.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors and healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient service delivery.
  • Demonstrate basic skills and knowledge in patient care services.
  • Perform all neurophysiological and neurosonographical diagnostic tests as ordered by doctors.
  • Handle preliminary test reporting.
  • Record test results in the computer and submit reports to doctors for review.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of reports to clinics and wards within the stipulated timeframe.
  • File reports properly for easy retrieval.
  • Use consumables and supplies appropriately and cost-effectively.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels of supplies and consumables.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Check and calibrate lab equipment regularly, including emergency equipment, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain service and maintenance records of all equipment.
  • Handle patient feedback, enquiries, and perform service recovery when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1-2 years of related work experience in clinical service.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
