Job Title: Resident Technical Officer

DP Architects Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Technical Officer to join our team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Resident Technical Officer will be responsible for:

  • Supervising on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, and architectural works;
  • Assisting the Resident Engineer in carrying out supervision works on site and coordinating with other Resident Technical Officers;
  • Ensuring quality control of all construction works;
  • Maintaining daily site records, including progress, instructions, materials, and weather conditions;
  • Supervising and recording day works;
  • Attending site and coordination meetings as directed;
  • Carrying out site supervision and inspection of works, including off-site manufacturing, precast concrete, and structural steel fabrication;
  • Monitoring progress and reporting delays;
  • Providing standing supervision as required by contractors and directed by the Architect/SO;
  • Maintaining proper and updated daily records of all works done, including tests, inspections, status, safety, site diary, material, and equipment on site;
  • Checking contractor's execution of preliminaries items;
  • Checking service routes and contractor's setting out and reporting deviations;
  • Verifying reports and claims submitted by contractors;
  • Recording variations as instructed or approved by Architect/SO;
  • Attending to contractor's queries and coordinating works of main contractor and direct contractors/suppliers at site;
  • Inspecting and taking over completed works;
  • Undertaking any other duties related to the project as instructed by the Architect/SO;
  • Checking drawings and documents and reporting discrepancies;
  • Reporting on site safety, security, and housekeeping;
  • Compiling BSL Quarterly Report.
Responsibilities during TOP

The Resident Technical Officer will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring cleaning up of site for inspection through the Main Contractor;
  • Verifying that all constructed works are in accordance with approved authorities drawings prior to any authorities inspection;
  • Ensuring compliance with widths of all escape routes, stairs, handrails, and doors;
  • Ensuring compliance to handicapped requirements;
  • Assisting consultants to organize formal inspections;
  • Ensuring that all comments/non-conformance by authority departments are replied to and rectified within two weeks of Written Direction.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of residential/mixed development;
  • Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC);
  • Prior experience in precast construction;
  • Able to work overtime when required by schedule;
