A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager/Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating competitive rates and surcharges with carriers, including port-to-port rates and named accounts. You will oversee pricing strategies and respond to tenders and RFQs for regional and global clients.

This involves managing and responding to contracts for local, regional, and global customers. You will provide leadership in product and business development to ensure carrier adherence to targets, while building and maintaining strong relationships with ocean freight carriers.

The position offers guidance and support to countries to enhance operational efficiency and alignment with regional objectives. Key responsibilities include Customers Engagement – New and Existing, Regional Procurement, Support for Country OFR Operations, Operational Oversight, and Collaboration with Global Carriers in Asia Pacific.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 3-5 years of relevant Logistics/Supply Chain/Freight forwarding experience with good knowledge of Oceanfreight FCL Procurement. Experience in Indian Subcontinental (ISC) Trade lanes is a must. You should possess hands-on experience in FCL and in Oceanfreight procurement.

You will also need to have acquired knowledge of carriers' functions and general shipping matters such as operations, customer service, documentation, claims, clearance, etc. Good negotiation and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze problems effectively and find the best solutions.
